I Got Into Films By Chance, Says Diana Penty

  • I Got Into Films By Chance, Says Diana Penty
Actress Diana Penty, who ventured into tinsel town in 2012, says getting into films was not a conscious decision and it happened by chance.

Diana began her career as a model and later made a transition to acting in films.

"I did not not approach Bollywood with this whole thing that 'Oh I do not have any backing here' or 'I am not from a film family...'. I kind of got into films by chance...It was never a plan or a part of my agenda...It was none of that..." Diana told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

The 30-year-old says that modelling also happened for her by chance.

"So, I modelled and again it was not planned. I just thought lets just see where it takes me and one thing led to another and before I knew it, there was a film offer and I auditioned for it and literally 24 hours later, I am talking about 'Cocktail'."

"Homi Adajania (the director of the film) said 'You know we think you have potential to play this character Meera, and so you are on'," Diana added.

Diana is currently riding high on the success of her latest release "Happy Bhag Jayegi".
