I Will Keep Mixing Up My Roles: Kareena Kapoor Khan

IANS, 31 Mar, 2016 11:30 AM
  • I Will Keep Mixing Up My Roles: Kareena Kapoor Khan
Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has been maintaining a balance between commercial and performance-based films, says she will keep "mixing it up".

"I have balanced it out quite well between commercial and performance-oriented films. You will get typecast if you do only heroine-oriented films, so I am not like that... I do everything. I will keep mixing it up and do all kinds of films," Kareena told reporters here.

Asked about how the scenario has changed in the film industry for actresses over the years, Kareena said: "Earlier people used to say that after marriage it's not possible to work in films, but I am still working after getting married."

The "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" star said that actresses themselves have to set an "example" for others.

"I am a film child... I have grown up here and I feel things have changed. They are making better films and the quality is also so much better," she added.

Kareena is busy promoting her film "Ki & Ka" with Arjun Kapoor. She plays the character of Kia, an ambitious and career-oriented woman in the film, and says it has a different concept.

"The story is different... For the first time, we are showing something like this on the Indian celluloid. It's a very sweet film and people have liked the promos because of the concept," she added.

Directed by R. Balki, the film is slated to release on Friday.
