 Noted filmmaker Mira Nair has lauded the critically acclaimed film "Masaan" and says she got "knocked out" by the Neeraj Ghaywan directorial.
 
Nair, who has helmed films like "The Namesake", "Mississippi Masala" and "Monsoon Wedding", also congratulated Ghaywan and actors Richa Chadha, Vicky Kaushal and Shweta Tripathi.
 
"Better late than never... Knocked out by 'Masaan'! Sublime. Mubaraks (Congratulations) Neeraj Ghaywan, Richa Chadha, Vicky Kaushal, Shweta Tripathi and team!" Nair tweeted on Saturday.
 
"Masaan" bagged two awards at the prestigious 68th Cannes International Film Festival.
 
 
The movie, which follows the stories of four people from a small town and how they fit into the moralities, won the Promising Future Prize and the International Federation of Film Critics (Fipresci) Award last year.
 
"Masaan" also stars Sanjay Mishra, Pankaj Tripathi, Nikhil Sahni and Satya Kam among other.
