‘Inshallah’: Alia Bhatt, Salman Khan To Star In Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love Story

    Actress Alia Bhatt has teamed up with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the film titled "Inshallah".

     

    Alia took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news. She wrote: "I was nine when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It's been a long wait."

     

    For Alia, getting the role in Bhansali's film is like a dream come true.

     

    "Dream with your eyes wide open they say and I did. I can't wait to join on this beautiful journey called 'Inshallah'."

     
     
     
     
     
     

    She will star opposite superstar Salman Khan in the film.

     

    "Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together," added the "Student of the Year" actress.

     

    Salman took to Twitter on Tuesday to confirm the speculation.

     

    He tweeted: “It’s been 20 years but I am glad Sanjay and I are finally back in his next film, Inshallah. Looking forward to work with Alia and inshallah we will all be blessed on this journey. #Inshallah #SLB @aliaa08 @bhansali_produc @SKFilmsOfficial”.

     
     
     
     

    According to Prerna Singh, CEO of Bhansali Productions, the actor-filmmaker duo are coming together for a love story.

     

    "Yes, Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are reuniting after 19 years for a love story. "Their collaboration is the best thing that can happen in terms of storytelling," Singh said in a statement.

     

    The 53-year-old actor was last seen working with Sanjay in 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ in 1999 opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ajay Devgn.

     

    Bhansali Productions also confirmed the announcement.

     

    "Finally all speculations and wait end as 2019 brings together #SLB, @BeingSalmanKhan and @aliaa08 in his next film, #Inshallah. Wishing that this entire journey be filled with a lot of love and Inshallah, the team is blessed with hope and faith @SKFilmsOfficial @prerna982," the tweet from their official handle read.

     
     

     

     

    After an official announcement by Salman and Alia, Twitter users flooded the social networking site with throwback pictures of Salman, Alia and Sanjay, giving us a major dose of nostalgia.
