Inside PICS: Deepika Padukone And Ranveer Singh’s Wedding Reception In Mumbai

IANS, 28 Nov, 2018 01:36 PM

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who hosted a second wedding reception on Wednesday in Mumbai, stunned in ensembles by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, and Rohit Bal, respectively.

The party began after 8 pm, and was attended by close family members and mediapersons. The couple hosted a reception in Bengaluru on November 21 and are scheduled to organise another on December 1, this time for their industry friends.

The reception was held at the Grand Hyatt, and was organised by Ranveer’s sister, Ritika Bhavnani. The Bengaluru reception was organised by Deepika’s parents, Ujjala and Prakash Padukone.

Breaking her tradition of wearing Sabyasachi at her wedding functions - she wore a lehenga by the designer for her Anand Karaj ceremony in Italy - Deepika chose to wear an ivory and gold chikankari sari. Sharing a picture of the couple on their Instagram page, the designers wrote, “@deepikapadukone is an absolute dream in this gorgeous Ivory and Gold Chikankari ensemble.”

A closer look at Deepika's make-up reveals that the actress is clearly bending stereotypical-new-bride rules - she opted for dewy nude make-up with the sindoor and the choorha adding just the right amount of red to her all-white look. Deepika's jewellery is from the studios of Saboo at AJSK, which is a collaborated label of Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla.

Soon after stepping out to the photo-op area, the couple were congratulated with a huge bouquet. Ranveer and Deepika, setting couple goals as ever, walked in hand-in-hand, shared a light moment or two and made for plenty of great pictures amidst the popping flashbulbs. These two are simply adorable, aren't they?

Meanwhile, pictures from inside Deepika and Ranveer's Mumbai reception have made it to social media. The couple can be seen sharing the stage with both the Padukone and Bhavnani families while greeting the guests.

The couple will now host a third reception - a separate party was also held between the first and second receptions - on December 1; this one will be attended by their industry friends.

Ranveer and Deepika’s Bajirao Mastani co-star, Priyanka Chopra, will also begin her own wedding festivities on December 2. Priyanka is getting married to American actor and singer Nick Jonas in the first week of December.
