It Would Be Extremely Patronising To Comment On Anushka's Calibre: SRK

  • It Would Be Extremely Patronising To Comment On Anushka's Calibre: SRK
It's hard to retain earnestly and honesty in the glamorous film industry, but actor Anushka Sharma is an exception to this, feels Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has worked with the former in three films, 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and 'Jab Harry Met Sejal.'

The two will next be collaborating for Anand L Rai's upcoming untitled film.

Talking to media during 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' promotions in the national capital, the King Khan said, "It would be wrong of me or an extremely patronising to comment upon the artist of her calibre. It's never about at what age and stage once joins acting in commercial cinema. It's the kind of the talent, so there is no saying that I am more talented and experienced or the other way around."

"I would just say that Anushka has always been someone who has enacted her bits, roles with lot of hard work and heart in them. She works with lot of earnestly and honestly and these are qualities which I think is the most difficult to retain in commercial cinema. So, I personally reflect her that raw talent of hers every time I work with her. I feel good every time I work with her," he added.

Khan, Anushka and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali were here in the national capital, to launch the sixth song, 'Phurrr,' from the film. Sung by Mohit Chauhan and Tushar Joshi, the peppy track sees collaboration between Pritam and DJ Diplo.

Speaking on the collaboration with DJ Diplo, Shah Rukh, said, "We have such amazing talents here, in form of Pritam da, Irshad Kamil Saab, Imtiaz Ali himself, who make some of the nicest music, which I feel deserve a world stage. We normally get that too because we are all over the world. And if you get an international artist like Diplo, with the same love and gusto as all of us for the film, it feels good."

Adding to this, he said, "Diplo is extremely creative and wonderful and too flexible. I hope everybody loves the Indian twang to what we have given to Diplo's production."

On a related note, directed by Imtaiz Ali, ' Jab Harry Met Sejal' sees SRK as 'Harinder Singh Nehra' aka 'Harry' and Anushka as 'Sejal Jhaveri' and traces the adventurous escapades of two strangers, Harry and Sejal over six countries searching one lost ring.

The film hit the theatres today.
