Darpan News Desk IANS, 21 May, 2015 04:24 PM
Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is surprised to see the buzz created around her comeback film "Jazbaa" not only here in India, but at the French Riviera as well.

"I am just thankful and it feels great that audience are showing interest in my film," Aishwarya, who is at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival as an Indian ambassador for global cosmetic brand L'Oreal Paris.

In a video chat with the media here from Cannes, Aishwarya was happy to share the response she received for her comeback film "Jazbaa", directed by Sanjay Gupta.

"It was fun and I was very happy to see that film is making buzz not only in India, but here at Cannes as well. Presonally, I am not on social media but I now I am for sometime for L'Oreal and I saw it was trending at No. 1 in India.

"It was definitely being recognised. Even in the interactions here (at Cannes), everyone was like 'Jazbaa' has become topical and IS creating buzz," she added.

"Jazbaa", an action-drama, also features Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher and others. The team gave a sneak peek of the film at Cannes fest gala on Tuesday.

"As artists, we always want that people come and watch our film and appreciate it. We have worked hard and it's wonderful that people have appreciated the first look," Aishwarya, who was last seen on the silver screen in 2010 film "Guzaarish" said.

The former beauty queen will take part in amfAR gala at the Cannes fest on Thursday.
