I’ve Fallen In Love With Acting, Says Lauren Gottlieb

Darpan News Desk IANS, 27 May, 2015 11:19 AM
A successful dancer from the US, Lauren Gottlieb has been trying her luck in Bollywood. Ahead of the release of her next film "Welcome 2 Karachi", Lauren says she has fallen in love with acting.

"I have danced all my life, but I have fallen in love with acting only recently. Dancing is all about expression and acting is very internal, so it's interesting to bring that to life," Lauren told IANS.

"For me, dance is love and responsibility. I have reached the peak because of my dancing capabilities. Dance has given me a lot, whether it is in the US or India. I also bagged a Bollywood film due to my dancing skills and received praise from people," added the talented girl, who made her Bollywood debut with “ABCD - AnyBody Can Dance”.

Her new movie “Welcome 2 Karachi”, directed by Ashish R Mohan, also features Arshad Warsi and Jackky Bhagnani.

Asked about how life changed for her after “ABCD”, the dancer who will turn 27 on June 8 said: "I am on other side of the world from where I grew up in (US). Life has changed in so many ways -- it's a new environment, new language, and new culture. And now I am a movie star."

“I am already doing so many films. When I was offered ‘ABCD’, I knew right away that I was meant to come to India. Ever since I have come here, things have just been happening.”
