I've Nothing To Do With SRK, Kajol's Chemistry In 'Dilwale': Varun

Darpan News Desk IANS, 28 Nov, 2015 01:27 PM
Actor Varun Dhawan, who has an interesting role in the Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Dilwale", says he was not sceptical before signing the film as he has "own love story" which is different from that of the lead actors.

"My role in the film has its own story. I have nothing to do with Shah Rukh and Kajol's chemistry in the film. I have my own track going, I have my own love story which is different from them," Varun told IANS.

"Besides it was more of a learning experience for me as an actor to be part of such a big project. The film has romance, action, drama, everything in it... It's a very intense and emotional film," he added.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, "Dilwale" also features Kriti Sanon. The film is slated for a December 18th release.

The film will hit the screens along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani", but the actor says he fails to understand why there is a problem if two films are releasing on the same day.

"I don't know why there's a problem if two films release on the same time. I am not the producer of either of the films, but I don't know how it's going to create an impact. Hopefully both films will do well," he said.

"I feel comedy is one of toughest genres to explore and I am looking forward to see audience reaction," the 28-year-old added.

Revealing his experience working with Kajol and SRK, he said: "It was quite cool the way he (Shah Rukh) acts and treats his team. It's really very encouraging he is never too busy to not connect with his fans."

"As far as Kajol is concerned she is amazing she is one of the funniest people I have worked with and I really enjoyed working with her," he added.

Varun, who will be seen playing Shah Rukh's younger brother in the film, says he could relate to the story as he has a brother in real life as well.

"In a way it was easier for me to connect with this story and it was very helpful as I have a brother in real life. My plot in the film is very interesting," he added.

About his co-actor Kriti, Varun said: "Kriti is a very beautiful girl so it was quite easy to have chemistry with her. For me she is out of the league in the film so I don't know how to be constantly around her. It's quite interesting and funny dynamic."
