Jacqueline Has No Hesitancy In Playing A Mother's Role

Darpan News Desk IANS, 13 Aug, 2015 12:35 PM
Playing different roles over the years, actress Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen as mother in "Brothers", which is releasing on Friday, and she said she was not at all hesitant about it.

"I don't see why there should be any hesitancy to play a role of a mother and it's a challenging role, it's a character. If you, as an actor, can go between playing a mother, a student, a teacher, to playing whatever it is, it just shows your range... that is important for us and keeps us alive as an actress," she said at the promotional interviews of her film.

"I play Jenny Fernandes, wife of David Fernandes (Akshay Kumar), and we are going through a struggle at home because of our daughter," said Jacqueline to a query about her role.

"It is a very intense and difficult character. It is definitely a character that many will be able to relate to. This role made me reconsider a lot of things and how we perceive certain characters. Playing a role of mother is a very beautiful thing and keeping in mind we have mothers of all ages," she added.

A Christian in real life, she could relate to her role in many ways. "There are similarities like my last name, Christian family, that kind of household.... But I play a mother, that is completely new and unknown to me. So that was a bit difficult to pull off," she said.
