John Abraham's Injury Gives Varun A Break

  • John Abraham's Injury Gives Varun A Break
Actor Varun Dhawan said an injury suffered by his "Dishoom" co-star John Abraham has ended up giving him a much-needed break from shooting.

The shooting of "Dishoom" will resume on November 12.

"Actually, it became easier for me because for 60 days I was in Hyderabad, and from there, I was flying directly to Abu Dhabi for the 'Dishoom' shoot. Now, because of John's injury, I've got some time in between," Varun said when asked about John's injury.

Varun was speaking on the sidelines of the ongoing Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.

"I'll now finish my dubbing and other activities for 'Dilwale' and then we're going to shoot for 'Dishoom' from November 12 in Mumbai. But no action stuff... just easy stuff.

"And when John is fully healed, we'll go back and start beating up people together," Varun quipped.

Varun wrapped up Rohit Shetty's "Dilwale", also starring Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan, in Hyderabad. The shooting also took place at locations like Charminar and Ramoji Film City.

The earlier schedules of "Dishoom" were shot in Morocco and the next schedule was planned for Abu Dhabi when news of John's injury made the crew reschedule the plans.

John had injured his knee during a rigorous action sequence for Abhinay Deo's "Force 2", also starring Sonakshi Sinha.

"Dishoom", directed by Varun's brother Rohit and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez.
