Kangana Ranaut's Sister Rangoli To Alia Bhatt: Keep Your 'I'll Remain Silent' Sob Story To Yourself

Darpan News Desk IANS, 24 Apr, 2019 07:54 PM

The supposed war between actress Alia Bhatt and camp Kangana Raut appears never ending. In the latest, Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel accused Alia of milking the controversy for PR.

In a series of tweets, Chandel shared a link of an article carrying Alia statement on Twitter, and said: “To take a seat now”.

I really hope you go quiet darling... You and papa have milked enough backhand PR from this, please take a seat now."

Chandel continued: “People arnt stupid, they see who stands alone and where is gang of movie mafia, in this time and age honesty and transparency is most valued so keep your medieval age ‘ Main chup rahoongi’ sob story to yourself, no need to make this viral everyday...”

“Snatching others work and opportunities everyday, begging and pleading makers to cast, playing games and using connections to grab films doing back hand PR and on surface behaving like a sheep , as if people are idiots not to see through this...”

“While whole world propagating speak up or me too Alia ji is going ‘ main chup rahoongi aur zulm sahoongi. How regressive is that, coming from a British girl sounds strange, if you take a leaf from Papa Jo’s book obviously it will be melodramatic”, she added.

Earlier on Monday, when she was asked about people attacking her online and taking digs at her and family members, Alia said: "If I am mature then my family is 10 times more mature and stronger than I am. I don't want to get into this."

"I just want to be happy, positive, work hard, be a better version of myself every day. I should not pay attention to what people are saying. Everyone has the right to say and what they want to say. I'll remain quiet. This is my stand," she said on the sidelines of Critics' Choice Film Awards, here.

On the criticism that her latest movie ‘Kalank’ has drawn, she said: "I'm not going to analyse my film because that is something not required. Audience's verdict is the biggest proof for a film. When the audience does not accept a film, it would not do well. That's the way it is. We should accept it, come back, try and make sure they're not disappointed the next time".

Alia has been on the receiving end of some critical comments made by Kangana, starting with the 32-year-old actor dismissing Alia's performance in Gully Boy as "mediocre" and saying that she was 'embarrassed' that Alia Bhatt in Gully Boy is considered her competition.

The controversy took a different turn after Rangoli targeted Alia and her mother Soni Razdan over an article about their British passports.

Soni reacted with a tweet (which she later deleted) and reminded Rangoli that Alia's father Mahesh Bhatt gave Kangana her "Bollywood break".

Rangoli then alleged that Mahesh Bhatt "threw a chappal" at Kangana at the preview of Woh Lamhe when she refused to star in one of his films.

On the work front, Kangana is looking forward to the release of ‘Mental Hai Kya’, while Alia Bhatt is filming ‘Brahmastra’.
