Kapil Sharma Reveals Why He Was Rejected For Marriage On ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’

IANS, 15 Mar, 2019 11:26 PM

Everyone knows comedy king Kapil Sharma tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Ginni Chatrath last December, but not many people know that the comedian turned actor was rejected by several families because of his profession.

On the latest episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, Kapil answers the big question: Why he married late despite people asking him to marry soon?

He answers: “Whenever I used to go to see a girl, her parents asked me about my career to which I would revert saying that I am a comedian. I have always got weird replies like, ‘being a comedian is fine, but what do you do to earn money?’ And this was the reason I have always been rejected as everybody thought this art of mine cannot make me earn bread and butter for my family.”

After hearing this, Arun Gemini hilariously added: “Even my mother-in-law asks me that what should she tell her relatives about my career. She still cannot digest the fact that her son-in-law earns through his art of poetry writing”.

The comedian has struggledmake a place for himself in the Bollywood industry. Kapil came back to television with a smashing success as his show, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ topped the TRP charts.

The second season is being produced by Salman Khan.
