Kapil Sharma's New Show To Launch During Diwali

  • Kapil Sharma's New Show To Launch During Diwali

Kapil Sharma has confirmed that he is putting together a new season of The Kapil Sharma Show, which will also serve as his comeback to TV after many months spent under the radar.

Kapil fell from grace after several public confrontations - once with his co-actor Sunil Grover, his ex-girlfriend Preeti Simoes, and a tabloid journalist that he abused on a leaked phone call. It was reported that Kapil also suffered from depression and alcoholism, which contributed to the last minute cancellation of his shows.

In a statement to PeepingMoon.com, Kapil said, “I can assure my fans that I will be back soon with another season of The Kapil Sharma Show. The show has the same effect on the viewers and it would really love to take it forward. However, it is at a very initial stage.”

Kapil has been spotted rarely since his previous show, Family Time with Kapil, was abruptly cancelled after several disruptions on set. He was photographed at an Amsterdam supermarket, and then on his return to Mumbai at the airport.

A couple of his photos were also shared online. Kapil had quit Twitter following a public meltdown when he accused the press of being biased against him.

In each of the photos, he appeared heavier than usual, with some attributing his change in appearance to the treatment he said he was undergoing at a wellness clinic.
