  • Karleo showcases at India Beach Fashion Week - Summer/Resort 2017
Darkness meets emerging light in delicate moments, as seen in ‘Noir Love’; the new summer/resort 2017 collection by Karleo reflects the deep and intriguing moods of getting ready for a mysterious rendezvous or a hint of romance.

The spring/resort line is bought to you with the opulence of traditional couture against a more modern outlook, yet with a minimalistic take on the valued principles of design and embroidery. A scattering of lines in understated beads and hand painted detailing blends into the structure of the outfits, revealing a mesh for rich and vibrant motifs, evergreen yet celebrated in the most contemporary manner. Simple shapes are accentuated with clusters of beaded embroidery and floral motifs give in to the temptation of coloured and shaded sequins.

The silhouettes of the collection can effectively be translated into, ‘classic meets current’. Bearing all that builds them up; each individual piece speaks a different language, from the theatre of a cascading skirt; to the simple lines of a jumpsuit; from a classic halter neck to the romance of a magnificent ball gown, it comprises of it all.

Manasvi Mamgai ended Karleo's show in a monumental and breathtaking bridal gown with a fitted bodice and a bell shaped skirt that had intricate swirls of hand painted designs and highlighted with Swarovski crystals. The bridal gown that encompasses over 1,500 hours of labour, effortlessly floated down the runway giving a glorious end to a fabulous show.

The brand’s summer/resort 2017 line showcases a palette of neutral tones and their custom-modified iterations. In this spectrum, darkness keeps the mystery alive with black, grey and midnight hues, while tones of white and nude reveal raw passion.

KARLEO as a brand of couture, demi couture outfits, and accessories offer quality at par with the biggest international couture labels, with intricate embroidery and detailing that incorporate India’s rich craftsmanship.
