Learning Acting As I Don't Want To Disappoint My Fans: Guru Randhawa

Darpan News Desk IANS, 07 Jul, 2017 02:31 PM
Singers turning into actors is not new and the latest one to try his luck at acting is Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa.

Guru Randhawa has already created waves in Bollywood with his debut track 'Tenu Suit Suit Karda' featured in Irrfan Khan starrer- 'Hindi Medium'.

While talking to media, the 'Patola' hit-maker, who was in the national capital to launch his next track titled 'High Rated Gabru' spilled beans on his debut Punjabi film and revealed that he is learning the art of acting as he does not want to disappoint his fans.

"I am learning the art of acting. I have a teacher who is helping me out. I don't want to be a failure in acting. My fans have lots of expectations from me and I don't want to disappoint them. I have to prepare myself for the film industry market. So, I am learning," he said.

Elaborating further, the 'Patola' hit-maker said the script of the film drew him to take up the project. "The script is very good and now it depends how much hard work I put in to it. I am looking forward to start the shooting of the film," he said.

He also revealed that they are currently working on the title of the film, which is likely to go on floors in September.

Talking about his latest peppy track, the singer shared, "I think the title of the song is the USP of it as it is about youth. Mine other songs too have word 'Gabru' but I think this song will be different from my other tracks as youth will be able to connect with it more."

Not only the song ' High Rated Gabru' has been voiced by Guru, he has also penned the lyrics of his new track which is amassing massive hits on YouTube. The foot-tapping song has already crossed five million views in just 24 hours.
