Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is actively involved with various social causes, is batting for girls' education.

“Worked on the promotion of educating the girl child...came across some distressing visuals and stories. Let's educate our girls,” he tweeted Tuesday.

The doting father of two -- daughter Shweta and son Abhishek - has on several occasions shared how special daughters are.

“They become the soul of the home. They are the reason for the warmth that embraces us all,” he had posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com in November last year.

The 72-year-old, who is also the UN ambassador of Girl Child, is currently tied up with “Shamitabh” promotions.

In the coming months, his fans will get to see him in movies like “Piku” and “Wazir”.
