Low phase in career was a lesson for Deepika Padukone

  • Low phase in career was a lesson for Deepika Padukone
Highs and lows are part of everyone's lives. For actress Deepika Padukone, it was no different. She says patience is the key to sail through the low phases.

"As an actress, you have to go through both the phases. Today, I am doing well, but I have learnt a lot from my low phase when my films were not doing well," Deepika said here.

How does she cope with failure?

"I have learned that no matter whatever you do, you just have to keep some patience and things will happen," she added.

After entering Bollywood with a bang with a double role in "Om Shanti Om", the model-turned-actress was panned by critics for her choice of films, for her expressionless face and for her average dance skills. But she stunned all naysayers with her performances in films like "Cocktail", "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", "Chennai Express" and "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela".

Her latest release is "Happy New Year", which has turned out to be a gold spinner at the box office. It's her third hit with superstar Shah Rukh Khan after "Om Shanti Om" and "Chennai Express".
