Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who wished his elder daughter Shaheen on her birthday on social media, said that she "rescued" him from the "abyss of alcoholism".
Shaheen is the daughter of Mahesh and yesteryear actress Soni Razdan. Her younger sister is actress Alia Bhatt. Shaheen is also the step sister of actress-filmaker Pooja Bhatt.
"Happy Birthday to Shaheen. My child, my angel who rescued me from the abyss of alcoholism and gave my life a new meaning," Mahesh tweeted on Saturday.
