Mahira Khan Breaks Her Silence On Viral Photos With Ranbir Kapoor

    Mahira Khan and Ranbir Kapoor's photos went viral a few days back. The haters trolled the Pakistani actor for wearing a ‘short’ dress and also for smoking despite being a ‘woman’.

     
    On Tuesday, at the trailer launch of her upcoming film 'Verna', Mahira finally broke her silence on the photo controversy.
     

    “I am a very careful person otherwise. People ask me that I do not do this in films (probably she meant smoking), I say I do not want to. Why should I do anything to show the world?” said Mahira. The a

     

    ctor further added that her meeting Ranbir was a completely personal thing. She said, “It is my personal life and it is very normal for a boy and girl to hang out.” She again added that this one incident has taught her a lot. Mahira also stated, “Nowadays, media is not only present at events but everywhere. So, I have learnt from it (the incident).”

    In an official statement, Jagga Jasoos actor Ranbir Kapoor had said, “I’ve gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is.

     

    It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also sad is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your beautiful god gifted lives.”

     

    Ranbir had ended his statement with a witty and hard-hitting note saying, “Both smoking and hate are injurious to health.”
