Makrand Deshpande's Hair-Raising Secrets

Darpan News Desk IANS, 24 Jul, 2019 08:12 PM
  • Makrand Deshpande's Hair-Raising Secrets

Actor Makrand Deshpande, who has been working in theatre and films, says people cannot imagine his face without his salt-pepper curly hair and thick moustache.

Asked if he consciously makes an effort to maintain the look and why he never experiments with it, Makrand told IANS: "People won't be able to identify me if I change my hairstyle.

I remember once during the shooting of the film 'Bbudha…Hoga Terra Baap', (Amitabh) Bachchan saab told me that the hair and the moustache had become a part of my persona in such a way that no matter what character I play, my hair plays a character!" he laughed.

"I did not grow my hair and moustache with a strategy in mind. It's just that I have curly hair from childhood. All I did is let it grow. I trim my hair at times when it becomes too unmanageable, but otherwise I just let it be," he added.

The actor has appeared in films such as "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak", "Sarfarosh", "Satya", "Makdee", and "Swades", and will be seen in the upcoming film "Chicken Curry Law", releasing on August 9.
