  • Milkha Singh invites team 'Saala Khadoos'
Legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh, whose life's story inspired the movie "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", has extended an invitation to the team of "Saala Khadoos", which is about a boxing coach and his protege.

He has invited the film's entire team to his house in Chandigarh. And the team will be visiting him on January 25.

The film is a production by Rajkumar Hirani, who has been promoting "Saala Khadoos" extensively, including at his hometown Nagpur.

Happy with Milkha Singh's invitation, Hirani said: "We are honoured to be invited by Milkha Singh and are looking forward to having lunch with him."

A source close to the film's makers said that upon seeing the rushes of "Saala Khadoos", Milkha Singh is of the opinion that it would help promote the sport of boxing in the country.

"Saala Khadoos" is a sports film, featuring R. Madhavan as a strict coach who relentlessly pushes his protege -- played by Ritika Singh -- to overcome obstacles and achieve her boxing goals.

Milkha Singh is especially happy that a filmmaker of Hirani's repute is producing such a sports-oriented film, which is written and directed by Sudha Kongara.
