'Missing, MP Sunny Deol' Posters Appear In Punjab. The Actor Reacts On Facebook, Blames Opposition

15 Jan, 2020 07:02 PM

A day after his ‘missing’ posters surfaced in parts of Gurdaspur constituency, actor-politician Sunny Deol on Monday took to social media to take a dig at his opponents and listed the works he had carried out in his constituency.

Posters declaring Deol “missing” have surfaced at a few public places in Pathankot. “Gumshuda ki talash” (search for missing), MP Sunny Deol,” read the posters that could be seen at parks and the railway station.

In a video message posted on Facebook, the Gurdaspur MP while wishing people on Lohri said he was being unfairly targeted by his political opponents. “I have heard that my detractors are coming up with nonsensical things against me,” the actor said in the video on the posters.

“Opposition leaders should work for the welfare of people. I am also working to resolve the traffic congestion in the city and also on the Pathankot highway. Wish you all a happy Lohri,” Deol said.

Sixty-three-year old actor, who debuted in politics last year, won his first Lok Sabha election as a BJP candidate from Gurdaspur. He defeated Congress MP Sunil Jakhar in a triangular contest that also featured the Aam Aadmi Party.
