My Personality More Suited For Second Lead: Arbaaz Khan

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 Aug, 2016 12:51 PM
  • My Personality More Suited For Second Lead: Arbaaz Khan
Arbaaz Khan, who hasn't had a successful acting career unlike his brother Salman Khan, is happy doing character roles and says he didn't have any illusions that he will be the next romantic hero on the Bollywood block.

Arbaaz told IANS: "I started my career as a negative actor. If I had illusions about myself that I am the next romantic hero, I woud have waited for that. I am pretty much sorted in my personality, which is more suited for the second lead, grey shades, and there is so much of work in that.

"Why does everybody has to be a romantic hero?"

As an actor, Arbaaz has featured in films like "Daraar", "Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya", "Hello Brother", "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya" and "Dabangg".

He says he is still getting a great amount of work even though he didn't turn out to be a superstar.

"I still get work. It has been 20 years (for me in the industry) and I am still working. There is always a need for actors like me. I am happy to be busy to work and explore.

"Maybe I didn't become a huge star, but still I am happy. I just wanted to work and I am happy that I am getting work," he added.

Arbaaz strongly believes in every actor having a reality check about himself.

"It's very important to have a reality check... Your self-esteem goes down because other people feel that you are not good enough. You have to constantly be telling yourself, 'You are good enough. You will get beaten up by people but if you react to that, I don't think you are in the right profession," he said.
