Nawazuddin 'overwhelmed' with 'Manjhi...' response

  • Nawazuddin 'overwhelmed' with 'Manjhi...' response
Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has been lauded for the response he has received for the film "Manjhi - The Mountain Man", says he is feeling "overwhelmed" by the acknowledgement he has got.

"I am overwhelmed and this gives me confidence in doing good work going forward," Nawaz said in a statement.

The "Gangs of Wasseypur" actor was praised by Salman Khan on micro-blogging website Twitter earlier this week, where he mentioned that he hoped the movie becomes a "big hit".

The Nawazuddin-starrer is a biopic on Dashrath Manjhi, a resident of Gehlaur village in Gaya district.

The "Mountain Man" had single-handedly cut through a hill to make a road for his village. Manjhi died in 2007 in his early 80s.

Directed by Ketan Mehta, the biopic also stars Radhika Apte and hit the theatres on Friday
