  • Need Stronger Laws Against Animal Cruelty: Soha
Actress Soha Ali Khan, also a compassionate animal lover, has rooted for proper treatment for animals. She says the country needs to have stronger laws against cruelty to them.

"We need stronger laws (against animal cruelty) and I believe something has been passed now in terms of animal welfare. I don't understand people who inflict cruelty on animals, who are voiceless, helpless, who are only giving you love," Soha told IANS.

The "Rang De Basanti" star says that the human race is evil.

"The human race is ... we are the most evil and destructive on this planet. We are destroying the planet and animals," added the younger sister of actor Saif Ali Khan.

The 38-year-old actress says she has more sympathy for animals.

"I have far more sympathy for animals than I do for people and absolutely there should be stronger laws, penalties," said Soha, whose latest film "31st October" released on Friday.

The film, which also stars Vir Das, is based on the aftermath of Indira Gandhi's assassination and its repercussions.
