Need To Check Our Ticket Pricing: Salman

Darpan News Desk IANS, 20 Jun, 2016 12:42 PM
  • Need To Check Our Ticket Pricing: Salman
Superstar Salman Khan, who is awaiting the release of his next film "Sultan", feels that in order to maximise footfalls for movies, ticket prices need to be reduced and number of theatres should be increased.

"If we don't check our ticket pricing right now, our cinema is going to dip down very badly," Salman said here.

"The numbers (of productions) are increasing, but footfalls are reducing. At Rs 80 and Rs 100 for a ticket, Marathi films are doing Rs 100 crore business and with our ticket prices of Rs 250, we are barely able to touch Rs 100 crore. It's shameful," Salman added.

He feels the day about "20,000 theatres" are added in the country, filmmaking "will be a different game altogether".
