  • 'No Mistreatment On 'Bajirao Mastani' Sets'
After reports of a Pune-based lawyer getting mistreated during the shoot of "Bajirao Mastani" surfaced, the spokesperson of the film's director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Saturday clarified that the crew has "been extremely professional" and did not misbehave with anyone present on the sets.

There were reports that the lawyer Wajidkhan Rahim Khan-Bidkar took a legal action on Friday against the team, especially Bhansali and lead actor Ranveer Singh.

According to the report, the lawyer alleged in his complaint that he was "manhandled and pushed by the bouncers".

However, Bhansali's spokesperson said the shoot "took off smoothly."

"The team of 'Bajirao Mastani' was shooting today (Friday) at the Bhor Rajwada court in Pune. When crucial shots had to be taken, the few people present in the court were asked to leave so as to avoid chaos and crowding.

"The crew has been extremely professional and ensured that the shoot took off smoothly and in the most respectful manner. No one was mistreated during the shoot," Bhansali's spokesperson said in a statement.

Bhansali's magnum opus "Bajirao Mastani" narrates the story of Maratha Peshwa Baji Rao I, and his second wife Mastani. Ranveer and Deepika Padukone portray the titular protagonists, while Priyanka Chopra plays Bajirao's first wife.

The film is scheduled to release on December 18.
