No Personal Celebration In Swinging, Dancing, Says Big B

  • No Personal Celebration In Swinging, Dancing, Says Big B
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says stars don't seek “personal celebration” by swinging and dancing on “grandiose sets”, instead they try to spread joy through their gigs.

“Let not the fanfare and the celebratory designs set you on a path of personal celebration...they are not...we swing and dance for those that have brought music and life into the lives of others less fortunate...ignored and without ever a hope of being celebrated,” Amitabh posted on his blog.

The 73-year-old, who is currently hosting “Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi”, added that the stories which are narrated on the TV show leave him “spellbound”.

“There are such stories of individuals that leave us spellbound and emotional...It is not for us to bring the grandiose sets and colourful clothing for ourselves...NO...it is to dress up for them that have given us reason to think and wonder at their selfless achievements,” shared the “Piku” actor.

The cine icon feels such efforts should not go unnoticed.

“There are many greats in our world...but do we ever get an opportunity to see them or meet them? Do we ever think of them that need to be recognised and brought to the front line?

“It does become our duty and our privilege to seek them out and set about to help them to give them their desired space and recognition in life,” he added.
