Not A Clash: SRK On Releasing 'Raees' With Salman's 'Sultan'

  • Not A Clash: SRK On Releasing 'Raees' With Salman's 'Sultan'
For the industry, the Eid release of Salman Khan's "Sultan" and Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" will be a clash of the Bollywood titans at the box office in 2016, but SRK says they are now both "good friends".

The actor, who is back from "Dilwale" shoot for five days, was present at luxury watch brand Tag Heuer's campaign "Do Not Crack Under Pressure" launch here on Monday.

Asked how he takes the box office clash of "Raees" with Salman's "Sultan", Shah Rukh said: "It's not a clash. We both are good friends now, so we will do everything together...will also release films together."

"There is nothing like a clash as there will be films which will come together, release together. Aditya Chopra is producing 'Sultan' and Salman is acting in it. Similarly, Excel Entertainment is producing 'Raees' and I'm acting in it."

This is not the first time that Salman and Shah Rukh will witness a box office clash. In 2006 too, the two had their releases "Don -The Chase Begins Again" and "Jaan-E-Mann" together and the former faired well.

The 49-year-old Shah Rukh says "clashes are bound to happen as there are only 365 days in a year and 54 Fridays and we make 200 films, so some films release on same Friday".

So, SRK is unfazed about the clash of "Raees" with "Sultan", but admits "business will get divided".
