Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmavati' is marred by several controversies and is still waiting to get a clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
 
Amid all of this, industry people have decided to show solidarity with the filmmaker and Team Padmavati. According to India.com report, many B-Town celebs are planning to sign a petition which includes veteran actors like Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and top-notch actors like Kangana Ranaut and Katrina Kaif to join the list.
 
Attributing the report to DNA, it goes on to mention that noted actress Shabana Azmi and a few others will be visiting New Delhi to submit the signed petition demanding safety of the cast and crew.
 
Interestingly, Katrina and Deepika have never been great pals but at such a time of crisis, the former has decided to lend her unconditional support to the 'Padmavati' actress.
 
The report quotes a source telling the daily, “Everyone has been approached. We are awaiting the signatures of A-listers like Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, and two more actresses. Once they sign, we will be taking the matter forward.”
 
'Padmavati' stars Deepika Padukone in the titular role of Rani Padmavati. Ranveer Singh plays Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh.
