PICS: Aamir Khan Is Unrecognisable As ‘Handsome Sardar’ Laal Singh Chaddha

Darpan News Desk IANS, 13 Nov, 2019 09:04 PM

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor wrapped up the shoot for their upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha in Chandigarh’s Sector 48.

Residents of the nearby societies and passersby rushed to get a glimpse of their favourite actors. Chandigarh police and crew were stationed to manage the rush. But Aamir and Kareena were seen waving to the fans. The film was being shot in a flat in RCS and CPS Enclave in Sector 48 here.

The actors wrapped up their three-day shoot in Chandigarh and will now be moving to Rupnagar for the next part of their shoot, said a crew member. Film director and Aamir’s wife Kiran Rao was also on the sets with him.

A picture from the shooting has made it to the internet and has left fans in awe of the actor. While many are unable to recognise Aamir Khan as a sardar, many say that he looks handsome with a beard and turban.

Aamir Khan sports a cute look as a sardar in the leaked picture. He is seen with a thick beard and a lilac turban complementing his checkered lilac shirt and high-waist pants. He is also wearing a pair of sports shoes.

As soon as the picture made its way to the internet, his fans went gaga over his look in the remake of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump. One fan wrote, "Actor ho toh aisa," while another wrote, "Wow he look so handsome as a sardar !! Couldn’t even recognize him."

Earlier, Kareena Kapoor's pictures from the shoot also made it to the internet. The actress is seen in a simple pastel pink salwar-kameez and dupatta with no make-up look.

The movie is an adaptation of Robert Zemeckis’ multiple Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump, which was released in 1994 and starred Tom Hanks with Robin Wright. Aamir will co-produce the Hindi adaptation along with Viacom18 Motion Pictures. The upcoming project will be directed by Advait Chandan whose last project was Secret Superstar. The film is slated to release during Christmas time next year.

On Monday night, the team got together to celebrate the beginning of the shoot with a kick off party.

Pictures from the party, which are now online, show the stars, filmmaker Kiran Rao and other team members huddle around a table. In another picture, Aamir and Kareena pose with two other unidentified members.
