Politics Is Not My Cup Of Tea: Irrfan Khan

Darpan News Desk IANS, 23 Jul, 2016 12:45 PM
  • Politics Is Not My Cup Of Tea: Irrfan Khan

Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, who recently met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna, has said he has no interest in politics and he meets all the politicians only for his upcoming film Madaari.

In an exclusive conversation with ETV News Head Jagdeesh Chandra, Irrfan Khan said, “Politics is not part of my job. I don’t have any interest in politics. I meet politicians for films.”

However, he said that each person is a leader in self.

The 49-year-old Bollywood actor also insisted that his work is to make the role in the film real, not to be included in the Rs. 100 crore club of the industry.
“My intention is to entertain the audience through a film. I never think about 100 crores, 200 crore clubs,” he said.

The actor also added that he wants people to remember him for his work and not for his collection of movies.

Replying to a poser about the online leak of movies, Irrfan Khan said that piracy is a big threat to Bollywood.

“The industry should create pressure on the government to stop it,” he said.
