Priyanka Chopra is a global star: Anil Kapoor

Darpan News Desk IANS, 09 Sep, 2016 01:02 PM
  • Priyanka Chopra is a global star: Anil Kapoor
Actor Anil Kapoor, who has worked with Priyanka Chopra in "Dil Dhadakne Do", is impressed with the talent as well as personality of the actress.

He says she is not just a great actor but also a fantastic human being.

"Before 'Dil Dhadakne Do', I worked with Priyanka in 'Salaam-e-Ishq', but it was a small role... However, when I worked with her in 'Dil Dhadakne Do', it was a long schedule of 45 days. I got to know her closely and I realised that she is not only a great actress but also a fantastic human being," Anil said here.

The actor expressed his views about the actress - who is garnering fame around the globe - at the music launch of Marathi movie "Ventilator", which is produced by Priyanka under her production company Purple Pebble Pictures.

He added: "She is a big star because of her parents. I am here as we share a friendship."

"Ventilator" will reportedly have a cameo by Priyanka, who is currently shooting for her American TV series "Quantico" in New York.

The film has been directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, who previously directed "Ferrari Ki Sawaari", starring Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani.

Anil, who has himself worked in Hollywood projects, calls Priyanka a global star.

He said: "Priyanka is now one of the most admired celebrities, not only in our country, but in the foreign land too. She has become a global star."

On Friday, he even took to Twitter, where he shared a photograph of himself with Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra from the song launch event.

"I know you will excel at this as always! I'm sure 'Ventilator' will be a super duper hit Priyanka Chopra. All the best," he captioned the image.
