Priyanka Chopra Jonas-starrer 'Citadel' renewed for second season

Mumbai, May 26 (IANS) The global spy streaming series 'Citadel', which stars Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Lesley Manville and Stanley Tucci, has been renewed for a second season with Joe Russo set to direct every episode and executive producer David Weil returning as showrunner.
The first season of the series enjoyed breakout success in countries around the world, including India, Italy, Brazil, South Africa, the UK, and the US.
Executive producers Anthony and Joe Russo said in a statement, "AGBO is thrilled to embark on this next phase of the spyverse with Jen, Vernon, and the entire team at Amazon. The innovative storytelling of Citadel has paved the way for an incredible, worldwide collaboration with creatives in front of and behind the camera".
All episodes from the first season of 'Citadel' will be available to stream beginning Friday, May 26, on Prime Video.
Directed by debutant filmmaker Rupinder Chahal and produced by Atul Bhalla, Pawan Gill, Anurag Singh, Aman Gill and Balwinder Singh Janjua, the film will be released worldwide by Zee Studios on August 12.
Earlier, a delegation of leading filmmakers like Imtiaz Ali, Nitesh Tiwari, Dinesh Vijan, Ekta Kapoor, Ashwiny Iyer, Ssanjay Tripaathy, led by Jain met Sinha and Principle Secretary to the LG Nitishwar Kumar in Mumbai and shared their suggestions to draft this new film policy to encourage film-shooting in Jammu and Kashmir.
This serial brings out a love triangle between Patralekha (Aishwarya Sharma), Sai(Ayesha Singh) and Virat (Neil Bhatt) and as a new turn is about to come in their relationship, the show has launched this promo.
In its first edition, with 110 designers participating, it was amongst one of India's largest fashion fundraisers raising almost Rs 50 lakh for five weaver and embroidery communities.
The actors along with producers Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh met Ajay Bijli, Chairman and Managing Director, PVR at PVR Priya for the event.
The Akshay Kumar-starrer spy thriller "Bell Bottom" will now have a theatrical release on August 19. The film's release was pushed from April 2021 to July 27 due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
