Rakhi Sawant's friend slaps director over casting couch

Darpan News Desk IANS, 12 Dec, 2014 01:12 PM
A friend of Bollywood actress and item girl Rakhi Sawant has publicly slapped Sachendra Sharma, the director of "Mumbai Can Dance Saala", accusing him of demanding "favours" from her. The director has refuted the claim, terming it as a "publicity stunt".

At the music launch of "Mumbai Can Dance Saala" here, Rakhi's friend Manisha came forward and slapped Sharma.

Rakhi, who is part of the movie and was also present at the event, came out in support of her friend, saying: "Yes, she is right, the director asked her for favours to get a role in his film."

The director, however, rubbished the claims and called it a publicity stunt.

“Every now and then, aspiring actresses use these type of cheap stunts to get publicity. I don't even know that girl," Sharma said after the incident.

Apart from Rakhi, "Mumbai Can Dance Saala" stars Ashima Sharma, Prashant Narayan, Aditya Pancholi and Shakti Kapoor. The film is likely to hit screens next month.
