Ranveer Would Be Suitable For Dad's Biopic: Sonakshi

IANS, 21 Sep, 2016 12:58 PM
  • Ranveer Would Be Suitable For Dad's Biopic: Sonakshi
Actress Sonakshi Sinha says her "Lootera" co-star Ranveer Singh is the only actor who is suitable to play her star father Shatrughan Sinha in his biopic.

Shatrughan had earlier mentioned that he would like to see Ranveer in his biopic if it's ever made. And Sonakshi agrees with him.

Sonakshi told IANS: "If anybody can match... at that point of time... my father's energy and personality, I think Ranveer would be suitable to do it. That would be honest and very interesting to watch because I have worked with him in 'Lootera' and he has proved it time and again."

The actress will be seen in the remake of 1969 cult film "Ittefaq". She says she has not seen the original film yet.

Sonakshi said: "A lot of people from our generation haven't seen it so, for them it would be an entirely new film altogether. Filmmakers are new and there are a new set of actors. I haven't seen the original film yet so, for me it's a new experience. We will start shooting in January."

Abhay Chopra will be remaking the Yash Chopra-directed 1969 murder mystery, which featured Rajesh Khanna and Nanda.

"Ittefaq" features Sonakshi Sinha and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead. Are they paired with each other?

She said: "It's a mystery so, I will keep it a mystery for a while. We haven't even started shooting. It's a very interesting film. It could be or could not be a pairing."
