Riteish Deshmukh Says He'll Maintain The 'Dignity Of Guests' On His Show

Darpan News Desk IANS, 07 Oct, 2016 11:52 AM

Actor Riteish Deshmukh says he will uphold the respect of the celebrity guests coming to his upcoming show Yaaron Ki Baarat, but the "humour quotient" will be decided on the basis of the "guest's personality".

"I think the show will have mixed humour like pulling the leg or nostalgia or asking the (two) guests to talk about when they first met, what happens after a heartbreak or success or struggle, etc. The nature of the celebrities would dictate the kind of questions need to be asked," he told reporters.

"We will maintain the dignity and respect of the celebrity coming to the show. Also, the equation with the celebrity would matter. Amitji and Shatruji (Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha) are like gods to us. We are their fans. We will maintain that dignity and respect while asking questions," he added.

Filmmaker Sajid Khan and Riteish will be hosting a series of episodes on the show with different personalities from various fields.

The celebrity friendships will be put to test through a series of fun challenges and tasks.

"It's a unique concept. We were discussing how we could take the show ahead. We wanted to do small events over weekends like the one during Diwali, but eventually, we thought of doing a full-fledged show. I felt it (show) was a great platform to celebrate friendship," Riteish said.

Yaaron Ki Baarat is slated to go on air from Saturday. Besides this, Riteish will be hosting a Marathi game show, Vikta Ka Uttar.

"Both the shows are different. Also, one is in Hindi and the other is in Marathi. I am enjoying doing Yaaron Ki Baarat. We just feel, we are spending time with friends," he added.
