  • Rohit Roy To Direct A Film For 'Big Maker' Next Year
Actor Rohit Roy confirmed that he'll soon turn a full-fledged director for a prominent filmmaker of the country and that the film will roll next year.

"This year was interesting because in the first six months I did what I've been doing since so many years - acting and in the last six months I have finished the script of my film which I'll be directing in the next year," Rohit said during the Star Nite event in Mumbai.

"I can't say much about it right now. The producer's film released recently and has become a very big hit and he'll be revealing the details," he added.

According to reports, Rohit is referring to Sanjay Leela Bhansali whose recent release “Bajirao Mastani” is doing well at the box-office. There were reports that Rohit was directing a film for Bhansali.

"It's a matter of great pride for me that such a big maker thought I was capable to make a film for his company. So I'm hoping that the coming year is more interesting and that I'm able to present the film to you," he said.

However, the actor denied the reports that actor Abhay Deol has been finalised for the film.

"I don't want to reveal it right now because no one has been finalised till now. Only the script has been locked and that's the biggest hero of every film. Casting is in the process,” he said.

Rohit, who has acted in films such as “Shootout at Lokhandwala”, “Fashion” among others, had directed one of the stories in the film “Dus Kahaniyaan”.
