Role In 'Cabaret' Challenging For Me: Richa Chadha

Darpan News Desk IANS, 25 Mar, 2016 01:43 PM
Actress Richa Chadha, who is prepping for her next release "Cabaret", says her role in the film is challenging not just for her but also for actor Gulshan Devaiah and cricketer-turned-actor S. Sreesanth, who is making his acting debut with the movie.

"This is a very challenging role for me and the whole cast, including Gulshan Devaiah and Sreesanth, who makes his debut. We hope that people like the film," Richa said in a statement.

Richa, who won praises for her depiction of a girl in morality crisis in "Masaan", will be essaying the role of a small-town dancer who has a dream to go big.

The "Fukrey" actress also shared the first look of the Kaustav Narayan Niyogi directorial. Richa says the teaser poster of the upcoming movie was designed by film's producer Pooja Bhatt.

"I am delighted at the response to the teaser poster. Few know that it has been designed by our producer Pooja Bhatt herself," she added.

Bhatt also took to Twitter to reveal the first look of "Cabaret" in which Richa is seen giving seductive looks.

Bhatt captioned the poster: "Come step into the world of uninterrupted pleasure. Revealing the first look of Cabaret!!"

The "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!" actress also has another film in her kitty -- "Sarbjit".

"Sarbjit" is a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted in Pakistan on charges of terrorism and spying and was sentenced to death. He was attacked by inmates at a prison in Lahore in April 2013 and died a few days later.

The film also features actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and actor Randeep Hooda in key roles.
