Sajid Khan Got 'bored' Of Hosting Award Shows

  • Sajid Khan Got 'bored' Of Hosting Award Shows
Filmmaker Sajid Khan, who also showed his comic timing as a host for popular TV shows like "Ikke Pe Ikka", "Super Sale" and "Kehne Mein Kya Harz Hai", says he has been missing from the limelight for quite some time now because he got "bored" after hosting a few award shows in a row.

"Since last two years I have kept myself away from hosting. The last time I hosted seven shows in a row in seven weeks. I got bored of it. After looking at the same audience every time, I asked myself what am I doing? That's why I decided to take a break," Sajid said at the launch of his new chat show "Yaaron Ki Baraat", where he will be seen as a host alongside actor Riteish Deshmukh.

"I became a part of this show because I found its concept interesting. Also Riteish is my best friend," added Sajid, who has also directed films like "Hey Baby", "Housefull" and "Humshakals.

Talking about his friendship with Riteish, Sajid said: "I am a strong advocator of the thought that in the film industry, relationships don't go on for a longer time. Riteish married the woman whom he loved. Genelia D'Souza is my rakhi sister. Riteish never look up to other girls. If I was a woman, I would have married him.

When asked about Sajid's former girlfriends, Riteish said: "I don't know who his first girlfriend was, but I can confirm you that right now he is single and happy".

Riteish even shared that Sajid has a phobia of sleeping alone.

"While shooting if I have ever got a call from somebody saying, 'Can I sleep in your room tonight', than that person is Sajid Khan. He can't sleep alone. He has a phobia. I got worried when he told me this," Riteish said.

"Yaaron Ki Baraat", which will be aired on Zee TV starting from first week of October, will feature celebrity friends, who will test their love and affection towards each other.
