Sand Surfing Grips Sidharth Malhotra In New Zealand

Darpan News Desk IANS, 17 Oct, 2015 02:30 PM
After his aerial adventures in the southern island of New Zealand, Sidharth Malhotra found thrill in hurtling down humongous sand dunes here.

While on the move here, the actor came across magnificent dunes. He was intrigued by the idea of sand dunes, which are generally a well-known attraction in desert areas as opposed to the sub-tropical region that Northland is.

Sidharth and his guide explored the dunes at the Te Paki recreation reserve, before racing down the hills on boogie boards. He found it to be even more fun than water surfing.

This activity involves taking a body board, usually used for surfing on waves, and using it to speed down sand dunes.

The Te Paki sand dunes are just one of the many attractions in the region. It's a three-hour drive north from Russell in the Bay of Islands, or a five-hour drive from bustling Auckland.
