Actor Shahid Kapoor has started shooting for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film "Padmavati".
 
The period drama, which also features Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, stars Shahid as Raja Ratan Singh.
 
Shahid on Thursday shared on Twitter a photograph of himself sporting a beard.

Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who is enamoured of Padmavati.
