  • Shekhar Ravjiani gets nostalgic about 'Neerja'
Singer-composer Shekhar Ravjiani says he is glad that he picked “Neerja” to debut as an actor as it has turned out to be a “life changing experience in more ways than one” for him.

Looking back at the memories associated with the film -- a biopic on the late Neerja Bhanot who lost her life while saving others on a hijacked plane -- Shekhar took to Twitter to express his views. The film features Sonam Kapoor as the protagonist.

He tweeted: “Fond memories of shooting for 'Neerja' under the expert guidance of my dear friend Ram Madhvani.

“'Neerja' has given me so much to be thankful for...some beautiful new friendships...a life changing experience in more ways than one. 'Neerja' also gave me the opportunity to sing the beautiful 'Gehra ishq' composed by Vishal Khurana and written by Prasoon Joshi”.

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Bling Unplugged, the film also features Shabana Azmi and Yogendra Tiku.
