Actress Sherlyn Chopra, who is coming up with a short film titled "Maya", says she is very close to her pets.

Sherlyn has appeared in films like "Jawani Diwani: A Youthful Joyride", "Raqeeb" and "Red Swastik". She has three dogs -- two maltese and one chihuahua.

"I discovered my love for them very early. They are my life and it's amazing how understanding they are. It's awesome to have these four-legged around you," Sherlyn said in a statement.

"When I come back home from work or even go out and get back home after a long day, their welcome is the most precious feeling ever. I am blessed to have their company and they own my life," she added.

Sherlyn released the trailer of her short film on YouTube last month. The movie is currently in post-production stage.

She will also be seen in director Vishal Pandya's "Wajah Tum Ho", which is slated to release on December 2.
