'Shorgul' Should Create Conversation Amongst Youth: Jimmy Sheirgill

Darpan News Desk IANS, 21 Apr, 2016 01:05 PM
Actor Jimmy Sheirgill who will next be seen in forthcoming film “Shorgul” after “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”, says that the Jitendra Tiwari and Prashant V. Singh directorial should create conversation among the youth.

A 24FPS Films Production, "Shorgul" is a political drama wherein an innocent friendship between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl takes a communal twist when the boy is killed.

"In ‘Shorgul’ I essay the role of a prominent politician who's got a sinister streak to himself. The role is very experimental as it's something very contrasting from what I've executed in the past. It's a story that I strongly think should reach the masses and create a conversation amongst the youth,” Jimmy said in a statement.

The film which is set to release on June 10 has been co-produced by Swatantra Vijay Singh and Vyas Verma.

“Shorgul” will also feature actors Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Suri, Hiten Tejwani and Eijaz Khan.
