Akshay Kumar's action comedy film “Singh is Bliing” has had a roaring start at the box office with a collection of Rs.20.67 crore on its opening day.
 
The Prabhudheva directorial is also being tagged as the actor's biggest opener till now.
 
The film has received an overwhelming response at the box office. It is Akshay’s biggest opening at the box office till now, read a statement.
 
“Singh is Bliing”, which also stars Amy Jackson, Kay Kay Menon and Lara Dutta, stars Akshay as Raftaar Singh. With positive word of mouth publicity, the film is expected to double over the weekend as there is no big release alongside apart from Irrfan Khan and Konkana Sen Sharma starrer "Talvar", which only managed to collect Rs.3 crore on Friday.
 
“Singh is Bliing” is Akshay's second film with Prabhudheva after 2012 action masala film “Rowdy Rathore”.
 
Akshay, who completed 10 million viewers on Twitter on Saturday, also held a chat session with his fans on the micro-blogging site to promote the film. 
 
Decoding Akshay, Amy's trendy look in 'Singh is Bliing'
 
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson have made an impeccable style statement with their contemporary look in "Singh is Bliing". Fans enamoured with Akshay's unique, colourful style in the film can try rural draped tunics in muted colours and asymmetric jackets with lungi, whereas ladies can opt for Amy Jackson's bright traditional wear, says an expert.
 
Here are a few fashion trends shared by celebrity stylist Eshaa Amiin, who worked with both Akshay and Amy for the movie. 
 
 
* Uber cool ethnics: Akshay wore rural draped tunics in muted colors, asymmetric jackets, denim shirts with lungi and the head to toe dynamic gold dhoti look. With interesting play of pagdi combinations with embellishments and aesthetic accessories like jada, bead bracelets, khanda pendant, etc to elevate the look. 
 
* Innovate: Few cool innovations were the Mojris with sparklers in "Tung tung" and Elvis style jacket with Punjabi lungis, gold shoes and a sequin pagdi and Prabhudheva’s dynamic sardar avatar for a cameo in the film.
 
* Amy’s bright traditional wear: A dekko for this festive season variations of patiala suits and embroidered crop jackets and cholis, lehenga skirts and dhoti saris, etc. 
 
* High street trends: Akshay effortlessly sported dungrees which he was never seen in before, with cool ganjis, cowl tee, joggers, cool printed shorts and casual patkas. While Amy is seen in eye-catching fun summer dresses, playsuits, also seen is a mix of sports luxe, shirt jackets, boots, tailored palazzos and some androgyny with distressed denims, shorts and ankle sneakers.
 
 
 
* Elegant formals: The romantic song "Aja mahi" where Akshay is seen in striking a three piece suits in emerald, wine, blue, purple etc. With Amy in a flowy cut out gowns.
 
 
'Singh Is Bling' milestone of my career: Amy Jackson
 
Actress Amy Jackson is not only overwhelmed with the response to her latest release "Singh Is Bling", but she also believes that the film is the biggest milestone of her career.
 
Amy, who started her career in 2010 with Tamil film "Madrasapattinam", made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with "Ekk Deewana Tha".
 
"Completely overwhelmed, it is huge project to be working on 'Singh Is Bling'. How everyone is enjoying the film is everything to me. Definitely, it is the biggest milestone of my career," said Amy who recently visited a theatre in Mumbai to see audience reaction to her film.
 
Amy also says that she has a big list of stars with whom she wants to work with in the future. 
 
 
"Can't even think about that to be very honest. So many people on my wish list. But I am very fortunate that I have a film with Akshay and to be doing a film like this in Bollywood," she said.
 
Released on October 2, "Singh Is Bling" is directed by Prabhudheva and stars Akshay Kumar, Kay Kay Menon and Lara Dutta in key roles.
