Snoop Dogg Feels Like 'Popeye' When He Smokes Pot

Darpan News Desk IANS, 28 Apr, 2015 11:41 AM
  • Snoop Dogg Feels Like 'Popeye' When He Smokes Pot
Rapper Snoop Dogg feels like the cartoon character 'Popeye' when he smokes marijuana, and described the drug as an "attribute" to his music.

Asked whether smoking the drug is conducive to a productive career, Dogg said: "The weed doesn't take away; it's an attribute, an accolade. It's like Popeye. You know Popeye the Sailor Man? He'd squeeze that can and pop that spinach and go into work mode. That's what this is."

The "Drop it like it's hoe" rapper continued to say his dream is to grow a gigantic version of the plant, which is why he invited a farmer, celebrated for growing the world's largest swede, backstage at one of his show's while promoting his last album, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I got a research team that loves s**t like that. He can grow that sort of vegetation - I want to see if he can grow the biggest weed plant in the world... I want one that is growing up to space(sic)," he said.

Despite his love of the substance, the 43-year-old rapper insisted he's like an "old man" when he is at home, and actually has a mundane lifestyle.

"Probably an old man. I watch the same s**t on TV. I like listening to old skool music. I like to relax. I like to just chill. I'm just like an old man, in a rocking chair, enjoying the s**t that I like to enjoy," He told the Observer newspaper.
