Singer Sonu Nigam, who will undergo a knee surgery on June 7, says he just wants to take a break for a "fitter future".
 
The 42-year-old year had earlier got done osteotomy, the surgical cutting of a bone especially to allow realignment, and will again undergo a second surgery soon.
 
Asked if he is not keeping well, Nigam told IANS over text message: "No. I am very much at home. Had a surgery called osteotomy done two and a half months back. Thus, limited mobility. I will get a second surgery done soon. Just want to take this break for a fitter future."
 
He is likely to undergo surgery on his left knee. Also, he is said to have cancelled all his concerts till he recovers completely. 
 
According to media reports, the surgery has been necessitated because Nigam has been playing squash without proper guidance.
