  • SRK Impressed By 'kal Ho Naa Ho' Song Remake Ft. Salman Khurshid And German Ambassador
The magic of the title song of the film "Kal Ho Naa Ho" with a message - There may be no tomorrow -- has been recreated in a video, featuring German ambassador Michael Steiner, his wife and former foreign minister Salman Khurshid. Their endeavour to pay a tribute to Bollywood has earned a thumbs up from superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who featured in the movie.

The actor took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express his views over the song.

“@karanjohar: @iamsrk you have to see this!!! https://youtu.be/0XK3BVXbVsU #KalHoNaaHo #eternalsong” Drat! They remade it already! Awesome job,” SRK tweeted.

Steiner, his wife Eliese and Khurshid have tried to bring forward the small nuances of the movie through the song. The video has a Bollywood touch, complete with emotions, drama and love triangle.

The original video for the song was shot in the US, wherein western outfits were donned by the actors.

But the remake was shot in the capital featuring the German ambassador as Shah Rukh and his wife as Preity Zinta in ethnic Indian wear. It also features former foreign minister Khurshid as Saif Ali Khan.

Karan Johar, who directed the 2003 film, also praised the video stating: “With love from Germany!!! @iamsrk you have to see this!!! https://youtu.be/0XK3BVXbVsU #KalHoNaaHo #eternalsong.”

The project titled "Lebe jetzt", which means "Kal ho naa ho" in German, was launched on Friday at the German embassy in Delhi, in the presence of Saif, his mother Sharmila Tagore and veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar.
